AAVIO Meeting in May 2017

The AAVIO annual meeting 2017 was held on May 21, 2017 from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM at Blue Bell Country Club in Blue Bell, PA. About 50 veterinarians from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and New York attended this meeting. It is a fun and enjoyable meeting as attendees get to meet veterinarians from all over India who are settled in the US and involved either in private practice, industry, government, academia etc. The meeting was held in an elite banquet hall in Blue Bell Country Club. It was gorgeous spring, sunny day with cool breeze and no humidity. Of course!, the menu was delicious Indian dishes.
Dr. Ravi Murarka is the president of the association and has been working very diligently for the past number of years to get this association off the ground and finally it did. Attending veterinarians ranged from 25 years to 75 years of age. Most of the veterinarians own either single or multiple clinics. They are very successful in their practices and have earned the respect in their communities. Everyone was more than willing to extend helpful hand to one another. Dr. Avinash Deshmukh from Royal canine had an opportunity to give a presentation on “Nutritional management of the gastrointestinal diseases”.
