AAVIO Spring Meeting in May 2019

The American Association of Association of Veterinarians of Indian Origin (AAVIO) spring meeting was held on Sunday April 14, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM at Hilton Short Hill, 41 JFK Parkway, Short Hills, New Jersey. It was the 4th consecutive meeting of this group in last 3 years. The meeting was attended by AAVIO members from all different fields and various regions from New York to Washington DC. Mr. Brian Armstrong had gone over the Merck Pharmaceutical and AAVIO contract and explained in detail how members could benefit and take advantage of this contract. Dr. Steven Callister, very well known in the field for Lyme disease, flew from Wisconsin and explained the importance of Lyme vaccinations and specifically spoke in detail about Merck’s Lyme vaccine. After we had general body meeting where we discussed how to increase AAVIO membership so we can have a better bargaining power with pharmaceutical companies.
